Is is okay to....
dye or highlight your hair in the 1st trimester? What about vegetable dyes if the regular aren't okay? TIA!

People have varying answers on this. My doctor says it is, but I haven't yet. He gave me this whole speech about how the skin is am amazing protectant, and if by any chance it did get past the skin, it would be filtered through your kidneys (I think.) He said doctors that tell you not to, are saying it out of fear not knowledge. Now that is just his opinion. I have friends that told them they couldn't do it any trimester.

With DS I think I waited until after the first tri (probably like 13 weeks). And I went to the salon and told my hairdresser just to be sure....
With this one I dyed my hair around 10 weeks at home.
I was told by 2 different OBs that it was fine

My doc told me to wait until after the 1st trimester. My hair is so grey I cannot wait to get my hair done...3 more weeks!
