Do they go in the fridge?

I just got my first delivery of ovidrel, it came with a cold pack but the cold pack wasn't frozen. Does this go in the fridge until I need it tomorrow night?

Also I got progesterone supp's, do they go int too?

And also what the heck do I do with them?! I see they are large capsules, do I stick one in my privates? Chat Icon And if I do omg seriously?!

I kind of pictured it as a tampon that I'd insert with cream!

OK, yes put the trigger in the fridge and the supps don't need to go in the fridge. I asked the same question. They should be ok in room temperature. Yes you need to put them up where a tampon goes but I am assuming you got the ones without the applicator? I just shove it up with my finger (sorry tmi) until I can't feel it anymore. Do it right as you lay down for the night!

Thanks! Shot is in the fridge. Do I take it out a few hours before getting it injected into me? Or do I get injected with freezing cold liquid?

I am just laughing outloud alone at my situation right now.

The progesterone looks like a prescription bottle of ear plugs! No applicators came with it, but whatever I have no problems sticking them right on up there. I am guessing in the morning the "earplug" will be dissolved in me?

I hope I don't feel crappy or bloated from them, starting tomorrow I am cutting out all carbs so I don't feel gross.

ovidrel you can just take out and use. you dont really feel the temperature of the inject - its not a very large dose.

the supps, yes you have to shove them up there and they dissolve. and stuff will leak out so invest in panty liners Chat Icon . the best thing to do with supps is take them at night immediately before bed. then lay down immediately for at least an hour or two. it minimizes the drip. good luck!

Re: Do they go in the fridge?

There are two different kinds of progesterone supplements-one needs to be refridgerated and the other does not. I have had both. The one that didn't need to go in the fridge came with applicators for each one. The ones that needed to be in the fridge did not come with an applicator. It sounds to me like you have the ones that DO need to be refridgerated. Were they compound mixed by the pharmacy and in a silver foil type wrapping? If it was compound mixed, put them in the fridge. What pharmacy did you get it from? Mine came from Rockville Center pharmacy I believe. Anyway, it came without the applicator and I thought that was a mistake so I called and asked. Personally I was not happy about inserting it for a few reasons, one being that I couldn't get it up as high as I could when I was using an applicator. They said they could send an applicator for like $2.50. Totally worth the money to me!!! You might want to look into that. Good luck!!!!

The progesterone I got didn't come with an applicator and they looked like the white ear plugs you are describing lol. They came from Kraupners. They don't need to be put in the fridge (as per Dr.B and the pharmacy). and yes, def put on a liner.

I have the same ones, and I put them in the fridge b/c I heard it makes them less messy, but I guess it's not necessary. Definitely wear a liner.

These came from Kraupner's from Dr. B, so I guess they are the type that doesn't need to be put in the fridge. It would be nice if either mentioned what your supposed to do with it though.

I haven't worn a pad I think in forever, maybe once or twice, I don't even have real underwear, only thongs. I need to invest and with the quickness!

Thanks girls!

"Real" undies are very important during the IF process. I feel like I'm always "leaking"..after sonos, after iuis, and definitely after suppositories! Chat Icon

This reminds me of a conversation I had tonight with my dh! I was going through my underwear drawer trying to find a pair and I told him I had NOTHING .. yet ... in the meantime my whole drawer is overflowing ... It's filled with underwear I can't wear!! Chat Icon

I think our next GTG should be at Victoria's Secret! Chat Icon

Actually, I still wear my thongs, progesterone and all! They make panytliners for thongs! For me, for whatever reason, and maybe this is TMI...it seems to leak out and then travel upwards, so the thong liners work for me!

ETA: I do not wear underwear to bed, so at night I just put it in and lay down and then by the morning it is ready to leak out when I go to the bathroom....

Re: Do they go in the fridge?

Thanks guys! I was able to confirm all of this at the Dr.'s today. Well I just got a call from them now and it seems my blood work this afternoon showed a LH surge so I don't have to do the shot at all!

Chat Icon I am sooo happy. DH is going to be sad when I tell him the news lol, he was looking forward to it. I go tomorrow for my first iui and then again Friday.

I am now just worried, I hope I don't ovulate until tomorrow morning.

Also I had one egg at 24mm and one at 15mm, the Dr. said my lining looked very good too.
