OPK help...
How many of these
will I be needing?
These are cheap so I figure I can get these to go along with temping for the next couple of months.
We are going to try to the Shettles Method and 'try for' a boy and they really encourage you to be able to pinpoint like... down to a 6 hour window of when you're ovulating.
I've been temping the last 4 months... did the first 2 orally and the last 2 vaginally. But I still am not COMPLETELY clear on when exactly I'm O'ing. Only 1 out 4 months was like 'Oh yeah that's for sure the day.'
We'll be ready to try in the summer... so I'd like to do these for the next 3 cycles. So many will I need per cycle?
Also - these things had mix reviews (but... so do the cheapy pg tests)
... has anyone used these ones? I'm not willing to spend the money for the drugstore ones when we're not even trying yet. These will have to do. But I'm still curious.

Re: OPK help...
i use the Wondfo, and so far so good. However, just to be sure, on the day I get a pos on the Wondfo, I also take a digital OPK to confirm. That way Im not wasting digitals waiting for a but have the reassurance that Im reading the cheapy correctly.

This is what I would do if you are trying to save money. Its worth having the expensive good test IMHO.
I use the CBE digital. But I am also VERY regular and I'm still on one boxafter 3 monts TTC.
I bought the cheepie HPT on amazon, and have FRER as a "backup" in case I get a PG line on the cheepie.

Re: OPK help...
Okay ... I guess what I MOSTLY need to know is how many am I going to need.
Whether its these or the other kind -- how many should I invest in per cycle?

It depends on your body and your cycle.
I O the same day every month....with little exception. But I test starting on Day 11 of my cycle. I test when I get home from work with afternnon urine. I always test a few days early JUST in case. But ONLY once a day because I KNOW my cycle now.
I use 4-5 a month.
Now, if you have NO idea when you O? You can start testing on day 10 and not get a till day 27.
I personally use 4 a month. You would use 17 a month...... or if you do 2x a day like Angshaun....
So its a VERY hard question to answer.
Maybe get a supply of 20- 30 to start....

I bumped the when to start using opk thread...
it depends on your cycle length... try and figure it out based on that...
it also depends on how often you plan on testing... i did it twice a day
