I spoke with my dr yesterday
I had b/w done the day I got my smiley and he said my progesterone was a little lower than it should be for CD18. He gave me a plan- should I need it- for next month. But I can't help but think that all we did this month is for nothing. I am 5dpo so it is too soon to say one way or the other. Ugh- I have been so whiney this week I am tirerd of hearing myself. I will just have to busy myself the next few days and think that I have a new approach for next month.

aww that stinks! Well hopfully you wont need a plan for next month. just curious though what plan did he say to follow for next month?

I am going to start clomid. He said 50mg will help me get a good ovulation. Hopefully that is the little push I need. And I asked all the questions- 50 mg doesn't cause over stilumation.

getting bloodwork done for progesterone on the day that you got your smiley does not make any sense. of course your progesterone would be low because you DIDN'T ovulate yet. is your doctor assuming that you already ovulated simply because you were on day 18??? seems silly to even test progesterone at that point IMO.
secondly, please please please do not do clomid with an ob/gyn. you really need to be monitored when on clomid, to determine whether its effective or a waste of time. i wouldnt worry about hyperstimming on 50mg but you will want to know whether its working or not and most ob/gyn dont follow clomid that closely.

Progesterone was only one thing that came up. He did a full hormone panel to test everything. No, he wasn't assuming I ovulated, he is aware that I only, coincidentally, tested + on the OPK that morning. I took clomid for my 1st pg, so I have some confidence that it helped me. But thanks for all the insight and information.
