Prenatal question
Did your OB/GYN tell you to start taking prenatals while TTC? I was supposed to see my OB last month but couldnt get an appointment until 4.12 -- i saw her a year ago for my annual visit and told her that the next time i saw her we would be getting ready to TTC so we didn't talk about prenatals, etc.

i started before i got pregnant just so i could get used to taking them... and i always have stomach problems with pills so i wanted to make sure i was taking ones that wouldnt bother me when i did get pg...
i take the target brand with DHA

Yes my Dr gave me a script when I was there in Sept and he knew I wasnt going to start trying till Jan.

Thanks. I'm going to take a ride to CVS today -- Is there a particular brand? Should I get them from somewhere else? What should the bottle say?

I started taking OTC prenatals when I was ttc for #1. I took the CVS brand prenatals. I got a Rx for prenatals when I was pg and my dr just renewed them for me for this time around. I take mine at night after dinner because vitamins bother my stomach. I had no problems with either.

try and find ones that have DHA... whether its a seperate pill or combined... the target brand is a seperate pill

Yup she told me start about 3 months before.. I did 6 months. I use the Target brand and started the DHA during my 2ww.

I take One A Day Women's Prenatal. Lots of women take generic. Its a preference...they all get the job done

I would get an OTC PNV until u see ur OB. All women who are TTC should be on a folic acid supllement of at least 400mcg/day.
