Headaches coming off BCP
Did any of you experience really bad headaches coming off the pill? If so, any suggestions? I can't deal!

Hmm. I got really, really, really bad headaches ON birth control. That's one of the major negative side effects I had.
Once i stopped taking the BC the headaches slowly started to subside.
Hopefully someone else can give you some advice.  I'm sorry, headaches suck!

headaches are caused by the shift in hormones going on in your body. hopefully, once you get adjusted to it, they will stop. i get headaches EVERY month the day before AF. i think it's from the drop in progesterone. it only lasts a day. i take over the counter pain medication and caffeine helps too. did you happen to take BCP where you did not get AF? And did you stop at the end of the pack or mid-pack? That could be the reason too.

No, I was definitely on the pill where I got good old AF every month... I did stop at the end of the pack though. Are you not supposed to do that? I swear, I feel like I'm going crazy coming off the pill!! Headaches EVERY day! And mood swings!!!!!!

no, end of the pack is best. i thought maybe if you stopped mid pack, there would be a big drop in hormones which could cause the headaches.
i'm so sorry.  i actually felt better coming off the pill. but the pill made me crazy. if the headaches don't improve, i would talk to your dr. but i'm not sure there's much they can do, just tell you your body has to adjust.

I got headaches for about 2 weeks after coming off the pill. By the 3rd week, they stopped.

i recently went off BCP too and no headaches...but crazy mood swings here as well...poor DH - I bite his head off almost daily. He thinks I am PMS all the time now.
Feel better!
Excedraine has always worked best for me with headaches...also they sell those gel cool patches - get those and lay down in dark room.
I used to suffer from migraines due to sinusitis which I had surgery to correct...anyways - excedraine and those patches with sleep always cured me!

Yes, I have headaches too. This is my 2nd month of BCP and the headaches are better now then they were but I feel like I get a really bad one around the time I am supposed to O.
