There was a house sold for 369 a few months ago. It is a double dormered cape with no garage, no grass, no driveway...The house needed a full gut. It was a rental for 25 years...

Anyway a contractor bought it and has been working on it for about 2 months now. New roof, New siding, New windows, moved the front door from in front of the stairs to open into the living room, New brick paver path. On the inside I know he redid both bathrooms, and the kitchen...Looks like a formica countertop and stainless steel appliances.

There is no back yard - It is a corner property. There is a side yard. They need to put down grass, do the landscaping, install a driveway...and hopefully will remove this ugly metal awning on the side of the house. Also need to put up a nice fence to replace the orange wood one yuk....

I am posting this because my neighbor who is an agent went over there the other day and told me what they are asking....

The taxes are $9200...The guy never had star and never grieved them

He is asking $489k

The guy said the house across the street is for sale for $479k - but he didnt know it was on the market for almost a year and came down to $465k where it is at now...

And the other house on my block which is a 5 bedroom - 2 bathroom - double dormered cape that was originally at $500k and is now at $455k and has been on the market for 2 years...

My neighbor was trying to tell him he needs to lower the price, knowing that he isnt getting the listing from him - just trying to be nice....especially with how the market is now....but the guy wouldnt listen.

Cant wait for the open house lol...The house came out really nice

Formica??? THey did all that work and put formica in????
