Get to the dentist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get your teeth checked out and get things taken care of. Your teeth go through weird transformations while PG and it isn't a good thing! Get as much taken care of before you have a baby in your belly. If you are already TTC, then schedule appointments the weeks of AF and before you ovulate.
I had 3 emergency root canals when PG. Not fun. And imagine what pain killers you can take: NONE!
Enjoy your time getting PG!!!!!!

Yknow, I am so glad that you posted this. I was wondering what exactly can be done while someone is pregnant and needs to have some major work done. My wisdom tooth def. needs to come out it hurts on and off and Im also due for a yearly cleaning. Thank you for this post because I just keep postponing it. If AF does come this month (which I hope she doesnt) I will def. schedule an appt. I have a question though, is it possible to have major work done like a tooth extraction and be put on pain killers(if needed) while on the 2WW?

My friends are I always scheduled an appt for after AF comes. Made it much sweeter to have to cancel it if you are PG! Then you also have a better shot at getting an appt at a time you need it, instead of waiting to get an appt the next day after AF comes. KWIM?
Most dentists want to know if you are in the 2WW. They will treat you the same as if you are PG.
ETA: Once you know you are PG, most dentists wont TOUCH you for the first trimester, unless an absolute emergency. Why wait?

That makes absolute sense! Thank you again for this advice. So lets just say Im pregnant and have to get my wisdom tooth removed, they will not do it??

They will do it. But any novacaine you get is the not so great novacaine because it's missing an ingredient. (Epinephrine (SP?) which makes your heart race and your little one's heart race.) And you don't get any pain pills for after. That novacaine too wears off quicker and you don't get any more than the one shot. (At least they try to give only one and if you're near the end, they will let it wear off and not give you more.) ANything can harm the baby.
Any emregency stuff can be done, but why wait til it's an emergency? Get done what you can beforehand.

This is great advice. Especially about timing your appt. after AF. I've been in my 2ww for my last two appts. so I haven't had x-rays in over a year! Unfortunately, I have to schedule my appts way in advance to get in after work and with my wacky cycles it's been impossible to predict.

My cycles were all over the place. My dentist allowed me to make various appts, once per week, then I could cancel accordingly. And after all my plans, I still got screwed during PG.
