Had my first trip to...
L&D today.
So last night I woke up at my typical 2am to pee and noticed my underwear felt damp. No odor. No color. Chalked it up to sweating in the middle of the night and went back to bed.
This morning I was emptying the dishwasher I felt a little trickle. Called OB when they opened. They told me to go to L&D for monitoring.
I took my time since we thought this "might be it". Finished throwing my hospital bag together. Moved DS car seat to 3rd row and installed the 2 infant carriers. Took a shower. Then headed over to L&D.
Once there the nurse explained it was important to confirm I hadn't broke my water. Got an NST, 3 different swabs up there, and a sono it was determined my water did not break, my cervix was closed, and I was just experiencing either incontinence or just normal discharge.
I'm not normally a worrier. But I thought for sure what was coming out was amniotic fluid.
Anyway, I am super grateful it was a false alarm since I am 1 week shy (35 weeks) of full term. These are still able to cook a little longer!
Staff at Winthrop was amazing. L&D was having a slow day so everything moved along pretty quickly.
Oh - and a little tidbit of info, go to the ER parking lot and explain you are there for L&D (either labor or monitoring) and they will allow you to use their valet services free of charge

Glad it was a false alarm. I am super impressed by all you got done before you headed to the hospital! No way could I move the carseat to the third row on my own AND install the other seats. You are my hero.

Glad it was a false alarm. I had a scare at 33 weeks. I had contractions and then a few days later I thought my water broke. I know that feeling! Glad everything is ok!
