kinda confused..some question for you ladies..
just came back from another sono with Dr.B..still nothing..so still no iui set..took so me more blood and will no more answers tomorrow
anyways we got results back from some clotting tests done and from what i can remeber(i was confused by all the wording lol) i have low protien k..and a defect in the mthfr gene..i have heard of the mthfr gene before but not the protien..
does anyone know what this actually means ..i understand it has to do with clotting but what exactly is it
he is also starting me on lovenox..and continuing the baby asprin and said even if i was not trying to get pregnant i should still be on baby asprin..
he also mentioned gonal shots..what is that for?
and finally..my insurance will not cover any fertility meds..he said the lovenox shoud be covered bc it is not all fertility but gonal might not be
anyone have a ballpark on how much it is?
sorry so long tia girls

Re: kinda confused..some question for you ladies..
I can't answer your questions about the clotting issues (I have 3 types of clotting issues, all different from the ones you mentioned!). However, I am on baby aspirin too and will be starting lovenox after my transfer.
As far as the gonal injections, that's gonal-f. It's used to produce mature follicles. The anticipation of it is much worse than the actual injection itself and it's VERY easy to use and pretty much painless.
Here is a link to freedom's website where they break down the drug prices. freedom price list
Gonal-f is a different price depending on what dosage pen you need.
Good luck!! Dr.B knows his stuff and he WILL come up with a plan to get you where you want to be!
