NO WAY
I believe she will be very sorry. Half of our 2 car garage is filled with toys, carriages, garbage pails, tools, boxes, you name it. And we only have one child.

I don't have a garage.
I have 2 kids and a buttload of bikes, scooters, skateboards, pogo sticks, etc.
We do have a small shed. All of the lawn care stuff is in there.
We also have a swingset with a fort.. some of their play equipment is in there.
A lot of their play equipment is kept in the house in our basement.. we have a large finished basement.
If I didn't have the basement I would want a garage.

If there is no room to build or have a large shed like a house shed then no. U def need a garage.

I did buy a house without a garage for my first house. At the time it was what we could afford, so it wasn't a deal breaker...but in the future I would only buy a house with a garage. It really was hard without having adequate storage for bikes and outdoor toys, for example I feel like my kids didn't ride their bikes much as a result because it was such a chore to take them out of the basement.

No, that was one of our must haves. After renting I got tired of having to have my car out on the street/in the driveway. Ours is 2 1/2 car garage which we use for our cars in bad weather and a workspace/art studio for DH.

I don't think so, I like having a garage to put the lawn mower, garbage cans etc. We don't park our car there but it's great to have the garage...

After leaving NY and being used to owning homes with a 2 car garage I couldn't survive without one. Not to mention how great it is to pull my car right in when the weather is bad and be able to enter my home right through the garage.

My SIL is looking at this beautiful home but it doesnt have a garage. She has 3 children with tons of bikes and "stuff" I'm trying to get her to keep looking. I think it would be a dealbreaker for me. But, wondering what others thought??
FYI: There is no room on the property to build one but, there is already a small shed in the yard.
I wouldn't but Donna and Josh did; It's their starter house. Just Grandson, so not a lot of bikes, etc. But perhaps they could get a larger shed? Mary

nope, but not because of storing things. We would want to put at least one car in there. We will not even look at houses that do not have a garage.

Personally no... that was a big one for DH and I... we had to have a garage #1 for storage and #2 for when we have kids so they can go straight into the house from the garage instead of through the outside....

If I loved the house and could put a shed on the property for the kids outside toys I would. There would have to be lots of basement or attic storage though. We NEVER put our car in the garage. Then again it wouldn't fit with the bikes, strollers, CRAP etc.!
