Anxiety has hit a new level...

We have 68 days left.. according to the countdown, but I was 9 days early with my first (although I knowt hat means nothing..) We have a bathroom that needs to be gutted.. our MAIN bathroom, and redone.. we my DDs big girl room totally in ruins.. due to the water damage from the bathroom... it has only 3 walls... and still has DHs clothes in all the dressers... we have a boiler that needs to be replaced, and are looking into getting gas instead of oil.. and we have a bedroom that looks like a scene from hoarders...
AND I have a DH who has an attitude every time I mention any of these projects.. like its my fault I cant help him since I am 30 weeks pregnant AND have an almost 2 year old I am constantly watching... oh and lets not forget the 2nd birthday I am currently planning all on my own as well..

I am just so overwhelmed... I dont know where to start, how to get DH to realize how pressing these issues are, especially since he is going away on April 15-17, leaving me at 35 weeks, with a 2 year old.. by myself... (believe it or not, everyone else in my family is also going away that weekend.. go figure... )

So my anxiety is obviously at a ridiculous high... I am having these terrible nightmares that I am going to need an emergency c-section the weekend of April 15th... and no one is going to be here... I cannot get these thoughts out of my head!! I havent had anxiety issues before, I think its just all the stress all at once...

Today.. DH decided to "let me sleep in" which btw did not happen.. he got up an HOUR After me and DD.. and then said.. at 9:30.. go relax, Ill take her to gymnastics.. umm.. ive been up and taking care of her since 730.... what makes you think i can go and relax now?? I havent even had my eyebrows done since new years eve, or my nails... i just dont have time...

Ugh... I guess I am just venting... but I could use some relaxation ideas.. .

Re: Anxiety has hit a new level...

I totally know how you feel. We are renovating the whole upstairs to our home to create a nursery. All this, 40 or so days before she is due!! I'm freaking out at this point. I wish I could give you advice and relaxation ideas but my anxiety is overwhelming as well and I am having a hard time dealing with it myself. I just wanted to let you know I know how you feel and you can always fm me to chat. Chat Icon Chat Icon

I hear ya. In the twins nursery we still have our flat screen tv hanging out in a box needing to be installed in our living room.

Plus every baby object we had from DS is thrown about in there.

Somehow I have managed to do all their laundry except the crib sheets/bedding.

I am nearly 34 weeks and DH went to AC this weekend for his brothers bachelor party. Which, the bachelor party I'm totally fine with. Its just taking care of DS and myself straight for the time is wearing on me.

I am so done being pregnant but SOOOOOOO not ready for them to be here! Chat Icon

Hang in there, it will all get done! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Anxiety has hit a new level...

I can understand the Anxiety!!
The only thing I can suggest is to try to take on one project at a time. It seems like you guys have too many projects going on at one time and not enough time and motivation to finish.
Prioritize what needs to be done 1st and then 2nd etc.
Good luck hun!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Anxiety has hit a new level...

Thanks guys.. I spent today reorganizing our bedroom, to move my DHs stuff into one room with us, and to clean it up.. it no longer looks like an episode of hoarders...

one step at a time is right... tomorrow he has someone coming to give us a quote on the bathroom, and I will call the plumber to work on the boiler.... in due time it will all get done.... i know it will... It just is so tough to think about everything at once!

We live in a basement apt which I HATE and I am HELL BENT on NOT bringing DD home here...we are in contract to buy a short sale, but the sellers bank is taking FOREVER to approve it, and we are now debating walking away and looking for somthing else...79 Days on my countdown...But I just keep trying to stay positive that we will find something and be able to move before she comes!
