Level II Questions - Edited with a new question...

Ok - sorry, I have another question.

I scheduled my level II - thanks for the help! Here's my next question - should my DH come to that at Madonna or the regular 20 week appt at the regular office?

We both work in NYC, but I have the flexibility of working from home - he doesn't and when he comes to the doctor with me he has to take a half day off work.

Which appt is the more important one he should be at - the Level II or the regular doctor's appt/

THANKS!!!!Chat Icon

Most Level II are done at about 20 weeks. If you call there to make an appointment you will probably give them your due date and they will tell you when to schedule the appointment.

Make sure your DH comes with you to the Level II ultrasound! That is the most important appt during pregnancy that your DH should be with you for!

The level II at Madonna.....the dr. appt will just go over what was seen at the Level II & w/b a quick appt.

The sono is so great though.

Although just a word of caution, I was at Madonna once & a woman was there w/ her hubby & b/c there were other women back there, they didn't let her hubby in (but she wasn't in a private room....I had a sono 12 wk ultrascreen in a private rm & when I came out she was hooked up to the monitor in a big room).

Definitely the Level II. It's an anatomy scan of the baby and he'll be able to see the baby for a while.

this won't happen for the level 2. i go to madonna twice a week and that non private room is for different types of monitoring. i go for the non-stress tests or to check heartbeats alone in that room with 2 other women. all the sonograms are done in individual rooms.

you and your dh will definitely enjoy the level 2-it's very exciting!! have fun!!

I went to Madonna also. I had to have 2 level II because baby was not cooperating. DH was with me both times.

In regards to OP, yes, have DH come with you to the level II, you will see all parts of your baby, from brain to heart, etc.. The Dr. visit is just a follow up to that. I actually did not get any sono after the level II. The only one for me is the growth sono at 32-34 wks.
