new here...help needed

Hello everyone, I have to admit that I have been a long time lurker. Even though I never posted I have definitely benefited from all the shared advice! I have been TTC for 8 months. Recently DH lost his job so we put TTC on hold. My BFF is pregnant and I am having a really hard time with it. She is planning her shower and I really want to help but every time I think of it I am on the verge of tears. Not so much that I am not pregnant but that it is just not in the cards for me anytime in the near future. I feel so guilty that I am so jealous but I can't help it. Please someone talk me down...any advice is welcome

I went through this as well... My sister in law got pregnant first try when i had been trying for 6 months. She had her baby and I am STILL trying (18 months)...I had to help plan her shower, make centerpieces, etc.

It is difficult. The best thing you can do is allow yourself to be upset when you need it. Take a night to yourself and cry your eyes out. Or if you're like me, take three nights to yourself and cry your eyes out. We all need to have our pity party moments and we deserve it! When you've cried enough, you pick yourself up and move on...

This is a hard journey and you have to cut yourself some slack. Do what you have to do to hang in there.

first off..stop blaming yourself..it is only natural to feel like this..i have been there for a long time..

some girls i have met on here have had there kids and yet i am still here trying..everyone i know is pregnant.friends,relatives co workers friends of friends..u notice them more when u r ttc

bottom line..it is there time..and someday it will be yours also..thats what i have to believe in my heart every day so when i get another invitation to a shower or see someone else fb post bout how they r preggo..it gets me through

now i still have my days lol dont get me wrong but in the end i cant let it run my life..it has for so long and i am still finding ways to make it now but this ttc has been long and hard on me and dh

does ur bff know u were ttc?if she did maybe u could explain how you feel to here but imp u should still help her bc when it is ur turn she will be there for you
