Preconception Planning Appt

Did anyone have a preconception planning appt with their ob/gyn? Mine recommended it during my last exam so I scheduled one...but I'm not really sure what to expect...

I did my with my annual checkup. I spoke to her about it the year before.. so she told me when I get closer, to schedule one. She gave me a script for bloodwork and then I went for my blood work a few weeks before my appt. so she had all the stuff she needed.

she only told me about it because i asked if there's anything i need to do before i ttc..

she had my bloodwork results and was very, very thorough with everything.. only thing i did was take the flu shot, i usually never take it.. but since i was going to be start trying during the winter, i took the shot.

if you have questions concerning family history for both you and DH any possible shots that you didn't take as a child.. your doc will walk you through it.. also if you want ask your doc's view of episotomy or c-section and stuff..

at the appt. before, she told me start take prenatals atleast 3 months before, i start..
