Blinds to Go
Does anyone have any experience dealing with them?
We need blinds for our living room and I was thinking of taking a trip to the Carle Place store this weekend but I thought I'd get some opinions first.
Also does anyone know if they install?

Re: Blinds to Go
We just got blinds from them and I was not necessarily happy with the experience. I was getting blinds for DD's room, and the guest room which will be a potential second nursery as well as for two bathrooms.
We basically had the order written up, and then when I went in to order, it still took over an hour and a half to get everything finalized which was incredibly annoying, especially with a toddler in tow.
Then after spending time carefully thinking about which sides I wanted my cords/controls on, for looks and baby safety-- the order still came in wrong.
They don't do installs, but they have people who they recommend to come measure and install- which we used. I was happy with him, but he was not a BTG employee. Measuring was $40, for no matter how many windows and install was $15/window.
I am sure every location is different, but this was the Yonkers/Scarsdale location since I am in Westchester.
I am happy with the look of the blinds, pretty much-- but, they are also cheap enough that if they get ruined from kids, etc,-- I wil replace without being completely annoyed. I do feel like they are a little delicate-- I got the Wood-like blinds, which I felt were more practical for children's rooms and bathrooms.

Re: Blinds to Go
I bout two sets of blinds from them (Carle Place) and am happy with them. They were ready for pickup 3 days after I ordered them. I measured and my dad did the install for me.
If you go, go early. Although there are a number of sales people, it seems to take forever for your turn to come. I think DH and I waited about an hour, at which point I had already decided what I wanted so the ordering part went quickly.

Re: Blinds to Go
I've used Budget Blinds and had great experiences (all 3 times)
They come to your house at no cost, see what you need and show you a ton of stuff for you to pick out = EASY! they are cheap
They are in the Val-Pak or I'm sure you can google it.

We used them and were happy with them. They do not install, they will give you a list of installers that they recommend and have you chooses from that list. But they are not part of Blinds to Go and you pay them separately. We did this, we really like the installer (he came to measure for us as well).

Re: Blinds to Go
We had two good experiences with Blinds To Go in Levittown. They were very helpful, and we're pleased with the blinds. I can't speak about installation, b/c DH measured and installed the blinds himself.

Ditto except that we measured ourselves.

Re: Blinds to Go
We used them for our apartment and were very happy. We got a great price. We had to measure the windows and installed them ourselves.
