When you get your BFN..

are you normally disappointed because..

You did everything perfectly. OPK, temping, preseed, vitamins, timed BD exactly and still got a BFN?


I just wonder, when us ladies post that AF came and how upset we are about it is it because you did everything perfectly and she still came or are some of you not surprised that she came but still upset? Hope this isnt confusing


ETA: For me I am usually upset because I could have timed better. However, if I get a BFN this cycle I would be extrememly upset because I timed everything perfectly. My temp. confirmed O, My OPK was a clear positive and I BD according to that. Im taking vitamins and using pressed. But this is really the first month that everything seemed to go the way it should.

i get upset for many reasons..but to be honest really did not upset me that much till it was bout 5 months in

1.it hs been a year of trying

2.all the meds i am taking not even regular sex wiill get us preggo and we have to move to other procedures

3.everyone around me is pregnant..family,friends,everyone..yes i am happy for them but it is very very very hard..esp when i hear them complain bout being pregnant

4.this is something dh and i have wanted for so long and the fact that i cannot do it on my own and have to rely on meds/shots

5.another month of dissapointment for my husband..so hard not to blame yourself sometimes

It upsets me because I know we did everything right (BDing at the right time) and I really think I will see a BFP, every time I POAS. EVERY SINGLE MONTH. Hopefully month ten will be lucky and I will see a BFP in a few days.....

I get upset and think I must've done something wrong. Then, I overanalyze everything I did do and wonder where I went wrong. And then I start to feel like a failure b/c everyone around me seems to get/have gotten pregnant so easily. I swear, my friend's DH looks at her and she gets pregnant.

I do get annoyed when we cover all our basis starting with day 10 and come up with nothing when AF shows up. Its just frustrating

First, I say a big F U to the test.

Then I get really aggravated because I have done everything "right."

I temp, I use OPK's, I take prenatals, I take B6, I take Mucenex, we BD till the cows come home, I lay with my azz on a pillow and legs up and still NOTHING. Do I have to stand on my head? What?

Meanwhile everyone else in the world is preggo or has 3 kids. Its hard not to hate them all...

UGh!!!!!!! I do!!!!! When I take my OPK and I see two lines...I wish it was on my HPT!!!!!!!

I'm right there with you...and so sick of tired of all my BFN!!!!

Honestly some months its hard and others its like any other day.

And I can't figure out which month wont phase me cause it has really nothing to do with if we did everything perfect.

The hardest month was last month which was my first IUI. I figured with an IUI and 3 great follies it had to happen so I think that was the hardest.

Not anymore. At this point it's expected, which is kinda sad. I used to get so upset and cry and get angry. Now, it doesn't even phase me cause I'm just so used to seeing one line...

to you all. I am going on month 5 and Im starting to get disappointed in this BFNs. Granted, the first 3months the timing of was probably not great but last month and this month I think we timed it perfectly. I think if I get a BFN this month it will be devasting for me. The first few months upset me but I got over it and figured it was just bad timing..but this month..everything was right. Again, lost of hugs to you all.

At this point, I get depressed thinking that it just isn't ever going to happen. I never let myself get my hopes up when I test, so at least that saves me some pain. Gearing up for month 10, I'm starting to think that if it hasn't happened yet, there must be something wrong.

I know we don't always time everything right and I've never had so many health problems as I have these passed 9 months. I don't know why I can't seem to get back to my normal healthy self. Maybe that would help, maybe there is something else wrong with me or DH, or maybe we're just really unlucky. I don't know but I really hope to get out of this rut soon.

This is only my first month TTC, but I can't explain it...I just FEEL pregnant. But the tests aren't agreeing with me. Oh well - I am usually wrong in most things. Fake it 'til you make it huh?

i never got a bfn - well i did a few times randomly when i panciked and tested even though i was on the pill b/c im crazy but all of those times i was relieved but when we tried for a baby i got pregnant so my first ttc test was a bfp...

i actually took one last month knowing it would be a bfn b/c we were not trying and i wanted to just see it...i took it a few days before AF...it sounds crazy, but i just wanted to see a bfn...kind of like preparing myself for when we do start trying...not even DH knows i did this but i just had to see a bfn and be okay with it if that makes sense...

i'm not sure how i'll react when the times comes for trying and then testing...i think i'll be disappointed if its a bfn but not over anything we did or didn't do...i'll just be disappointed that we have to try again....if it takes more than 3 months than i'll probably get more upset since the first time it happened without any effort at all...

I am on month 4. I have actually never taken a HPT (except back in the day, highschool, college years)
i was telling DH the other night that i would feel so much more at ease(lss stresse) if there was an ACTUAL way 100% that someone could tell me."You are able to conceive, carry a child and have a healthy baby. I dont know when it will happen,months, years, etc but it will DEF happen" .....
Its just the unkown of not knowing if we are even able to get pregnant, very scary.
