Baby Shower Brunch...
Hi, I am hosting a baby shower for my bff soon and was wondering if I can get any feedback on if this is enough food for 25-30 ladies:
1 full tray of mixed frittatas 1 full tray of Creme Brulee French Toast 1 full tray of Mixed Silver Dollar pancakes (plain, blueberry, choc chip) 1 full tray of home fries 1 mixed basket of muffins, danish and croissants (24) 1 3 foot hero of Grilled chicken, baby arugala, roasted peppers, fresh mozz, & balsamic 1 large salad bowl fruit platter
Drinks: Coffee Juices Champagne Punch (or do I do mimosas and bloodys instead? I was trying to minimize the work, haha)
Cake
Am I missing anything? Suggestions? TIA!!!

In my opinion I would say you have too many carb options...this is the time of year all the ladies start watching their weight and it will all go to waste.
I would nix the hero and assortment of muffins/pastries -the baby shower cake and maybe a crumb cake will go over well in lieu of the hero I would have a platter of the grilled chicken with roasted peppers, mozzerella etc
Add a tray of bacon/sausage for some more protein
definitely punch-you can have it with and without champane for the soon to be momma.
For my sisters brunch baby shower I made with a guest list of almost 100: spinach quche chicken francese grilled veggie platter bacon/sausage whole wheat penne ala vodka french toast (ww and white) bagel assortment large mixed greans salad fruit salad - spiral ham (left off the original list-sorry) - we had plenty of bagels and french toast left over!
drinks: coffee/tea champagne/alcohol free punch soda water

Honestly, I think this sounds great!!! But I do agree about more protein choices, I'd say instead of hero/muffins, etc. maybe a bagel/roll basket and a tray of breakfast meats and a cold cut/cheese platter so guests could make a sandwich or have roll ups if they wanted. Maybe tuna/egg salad? I'd stick with the punch. YUM!

Sounds great.
I do agree w/the carb thing. I would suggest a tray of sausage or bacon (could even do turkey if you feel the full at is too much).
I might even do a tray of coldcuts instead of a hero, this way if people want to just take a cple slices of coldcuts w/ their salad they can.

Re: Baby Shower Brunch...
You are missing ME from the guest list! That sounds awesome!
I see the point about the carbs.. and I'd consider the option that PP gave for doing a platter of cold cuts with bread basket instead of hero. Unless it's cost prohibitive. It's a party full of women. Carb out!

Re: Baby Shower Brunch...
What if I just added a tray of bacon? is that enough?
The hero has enough yummies on it that if you were really concerned, you can eat it without the bread.
Plus I feel like everything I go to, its always carbs at these events...thats why I never eat! (but i'll have the hero here and some salad!)
ETA: the mommy to be doesn't really eat meat...

Re: Baby Shower Brunch...
At a brunch, I would expect about 1/2 breakfast type food and 1/2 lunch foods.
IMO- I think you have too many breakfast foods. I would like a choice of pasta salad, maybe a sliced beef since you already have grilled chicken on the sandwich.
Also, even if the mom-to-be doesn't eat meat, you have the other guests to consider.

Totally agree about the hero, good point. And yes I would add bacon, other than the chicken there is not meat.

what about for extra protein, the cold cold patter and maybe tuna/egg/chicken salad. It can be eaten without the bread too!

I wouldn't nix the hero.. but I would add bacon/sausage because a lot of guests will eat meat.
