Baby Shower Help?!

I've only been to 1 baby shower, most of my friends and family are Jewish so we don't usually have them.

My cousin decided she wants one and has asked ME to plan it. I have NO clue where to start and only heard of something called a diaper cake from a colleague this morning. I'm clueless.

Does anyone have a link to ideas or suggestions to planning one?

The kicker is that the party is going to be held in Florida and I live in NYC, so supplies and all are going to be purchased the day before!

Any advice where to start???

To start, ask the mother to be if she has any restaurant recommendations that she would prefer in FL. Once the list is in hand, call and get prices, discuss menu options, etc.

Once the location is settled, more than likely the restaurant will set the time of the event.

Then, the rest can be handled like:
-Invites
-Decorations (if any are needed depending on facility you choose)
-Games (if you want any played during the event)
-Favors
-Etc
