How did you do it?

Like a photobook type in shutterfly? Or manually like a scrapbook?

Thanks! This is such a HUGE undertaking.

Re: For those who did a "dear birthmother" letter with a portfolio

Our agency had specific guidelines for completing the portfolio/birth mom letter. We completed the writing piece, submitted the pictures and they did the rest.

I agree, such a huge undertaking. Good lick on your journey!

Are you adopting domestically?

I think I would like more involvement than just sending a letter and some pics. I feel a portfolio would be nicer and less business like.

We are adopting domestically and working with an agency. In addition to the letter to the birth mom, there are numerous questions we need to answer (looking for info about our neighborhood, families, about how we met, etc). It is very comprehensive. The agency helps us organize everything and creates a nice portfolio for us.

We created our own portfolio. Our agency had specific guidelines. We included a letter to the birth mother, pictures and little stories about how we met and about each of us. It took a long time...I made it on the computer and then printed it out and made it into a book.
