ladies in the 3rd trimester..

how often do you have menstrual cramping? everyday I cramp at least 3 or 4 times. just want to see if this is somewhat normal.

I have it pretty often, and its gotten worse in the past few days. My Dr. told me its my uterus getting ready.

I was actually going to ask this, because I've been getting it often. I was stressed that this wasnt normal. Glad to hear it's common.

My dr. said its normal as long as it's not severe. I get them 1-2 times a day. She mentioned that any leg cramping is caused from dehydration so drink up that water!

I get them pretty regularly.

As someone who at 37 1/2 weeks has already gone through a stay st the hospital for pre-term labor at 34 weeks AND false labor a few days ago, I am now fully aware of what is normal and what is cause for concern.

Basically what I learned from these 2 stays in L&D is that "you will know for sure" when you are in real labor. If your pains ease when you stand up, walk or change position they are not real.

However I was actually in real active labor for about 4 hours before I stalled and didn't progress anymore. During that time I knew something was definitely happening. I was barely getting any relief. Then I got to 3 cm and contractions stopped.

I told the staff that next time I wind up in the hospital I am not leaving without a baby!!!!!
