Driving in the car today....

I was thinkng about my IF journey and the craziness it brought to my life but brought me to a funny thought.
I would do anything just to make sure I got my meds on time.

Once, I was outside at Jones beach, VIP area, CREED concert and found a dark spot for DH to give me the Progesterone shot..
1-2-3 and it was done.
What was I thinking???

So it got me to thinking. Can I be the only one who does things like this?

So just for fun,
What was the oddest situation where you had to do an injectable?

We were moving out of our apartment to our house and we drove out to the apartment at night to pick up the last of our things and the injectables that were in the fridge........

Well, it was an empty vacant apartment and we did Ovidrel on the floor where our kitchen table used to be

I didn't get pregnant that cycle

So far it's been pretty normal but on Saturday my DH will have to inject me while driving in the city I guess I should be the one driving!
The things we have to deal with are just unbelievable but also hysterical sometimes

In the backseat of our car at Jones Beach theatre. We were tailgating at a Dave Matthews Band concert.

I don't have any good stories b/c I'm not on injectibles, but a friend of mine started TTC before her wedding, and had to give herself an injection in her wedding gown!

well i cant think of any really odd spots or situations.. but we did go to florida for a few days when i was on PIO and lovenox, and i had to mail a box of needles down there since we only did carry-on luggage and i didnt want to get questioned at security about why i had 10 needles on me .. so i priority mailed a box of needles instead

Nothing to exciting for us. Although I enjoyed watching my husband who is terrified of needles preapre to give me my shots for the first time. Tokk a breath and prepped, then took a step back, took another breath, came back prepped again, took another step back, it went on for about another 4 times. Finally I yelled at him to suck it up and get on with it. I could have been nice about it, but I screamed just to make him more uncomforatble.

DH took me to the city to see Wicked for my B-day and I had to do my Gonal F shot in the bathroom stall of the theater.

I went on 2 business trips with lupron - I had to buy a cooler bag made for insulin for diabetics and got a note from my doctor. I also had to make sure I got rooms with a mini fridge. I was so nervous both times but I never had any hassle!

Not on injectibles yet so I don't have any stories, but great idea for a post!

I love when I can find a reason to laugh at this unbelievably frustrating situation!!!!

PIO shot in the backseat of our car in the parking lot during our niece's dance recital's intermission.

actually - now that i think about it - ive done both a trigger shot and a ganirelix shot in the bathroom at my office. i like to ice first so i had to go to the cafe down the block for a cup of ice!! conveniently since i work in a floral production facility, i was able to store the injections discretely in our xlarge floral refrigerator

Haha...I was in the midst of getting my masters. In the middle of class I went to a stairwell and did it there. I had to bring a cooler bag with ice-pack. The things we do!!

i'm just starting IVF & injections, so we'll see.

but talking with a friend of mine who'd been though it, she had to give herself of progesterone shot in a bathroom stall at her BIL's wedding in london.

3 boxes of gonal F were stored in the crisper drawer of our 'beer fridge' in the basement. I think of how many people have been to our house and gone down there for drinks, never knowing i had fertility meds in there!

I think the oddest place i ever gave myself a shot was in the bathroom at a bar
you definitely don't feel anything after a few drinks!

I did my second Bravelle shot during my friends babyshower. It was freezing out that day and I kept the Bravelle in the trunk of my car inside an insulated bag. Bravelle is supposed to be kept in the refrigerator.

I excused myself from the table and went to the car to get the stuff out of the car. It seemed like I was doing something wrong.....LOL! I went to the bathroom with two of my friends who wanted to watch me do the shot. Since I needed someone to help keep everything sterilized I didn't mind. While I was injecting I was explaining what I was doing. My girlfriend was like....."OMG! I would never be able to inject myself! OMG! that needle is huge!" Suddenly I heard everything go quiet in the bathroom There were other ladies there and they must have thought I was doing something else. I got out and did not explain anything while I was getting weird looks.

Hey...you got to do what you got to do!! We did get our BFP!!! We are now almost 11 weeks prego with triplets!!! Praying everything goes well.
