Pregnancy first cylce off BC
I am just wondering how many on here got pregnant first cycle off BC (not waiting a few months) and were able to have a healthy baby carried to term. It just seems like there are a lot of women who experience Chemical and miscarriages if they don't wait and I am just wondering.

DH's cousin had a perfect baby...but not so perfect pregnancy and delivery. I wont go into too many details...but she had to have an emergency C-section without any pain meds!! But I dont think this necessarily had any correlation to being her first month off of BC.

I'm one of the chemicals. 2nd cycle off and lost it at 4 weeks. Now I'm waiting a cycle in between. Everyone is different though.

I came off BCP in Dec 2006 and that ended in m/c at 8.5 weeks (Feb 2007). I conceived my DD in August 2007, delivered in May 2008.
I've always wondered if m/c was because of the BCP, so for #2, I decided to wait a little while, came off BCP Oct 2009 and didn't start TTC until Feb 2010. Got pregnant in June 2010 and again m/c at 8.5 weeks (August 2010).
So, was my first m/c because of the BCP? I'll never know. Now I'm still TTC for #2 and it's been a year  .

i went off bcp in sept 2008 and was pregnant by Oct 2008... I had some pre term labor but i know that had nothing to do with the BCP and now have a happy healthy beautiful 19month old daughter!

Thanks for the info everyone. we are still going forward TTC this month and will see what happens. It will be fun trying anyway.

i'm not a success story. success in that i got pregnant as soon as i stopped the pill but it ended in m/c...
i'll never for sure why it happened but next time i will wait the 3 months the doctors suggest

I went off the pill in Oct 2010, had a withdrawal bleed a few days later, and then got a BFP on cd56 (technically my first "cycle" off the pill, although it was my second month).
I just had my NT scan today and everything is perfect so far. I  that everything continues to go well, but at this point if it didnt, it wouldn't be because I got pregnant right after stopping the pill. 
Edit: my doctor said it was fine to try right away and that you are actually more fertile right after stopping the pill

With DD, I stopped bcp mid OCtober and got AF...I got AF again mid-November and found out I was pregnant mid December....
