Anyone Able to get GHI to Cover Acupuncture?
Hi,
Just wondering. I called and they said that acupuncture was not covered. However, I'm wondering if anyone has been able to sumbit acu bills and get any type of reimbursements..these acu bills are adding up!! URGH!!

From what I know, acupunture will never be covered under insurance unless it's used for pain management and allergies. That's how it's been explained to me by my acupuncturist. Like IF is not a problem  My insurance will cover something like 10% per visit with in-network acupuncturists

Boo!! LOL... I pretty much figured...just wondering if anyone was able to get it covered...somehow!!

The acupuncturist I go to offers a discount to GHI patients but it still costs $75 a visit. I know what you mean about it adding up!
I'm going to try and submit the bills to my flexible spending account. I'm not sure if they'll cover it.

Just wanted to say, yes, flexible spending does include acupuncture.

I'm just glad they approved me for IVF!!!  I was told GHI covers no acupuncture.. not even for pain.

I know what you mean...I was so happy when they finally approved IVF that I almost did back-flips.  I'm gonna practice being GRATEFUL.
Very odd that they will not even cover acu for pain.
