is this ok? am I being parinoid?
Last night I found Bella had rolled over to sleep on her stomach. Her face was all squished into the mattress. I moved her back to her back and she quickly rolled back to her stomach. She will be 5 months next week.
TIA!

Logan started rolling around about the same time. The past month and a half I have found him in every corner of his crib. Its fine to leave them if they can move themselves, just make sure you have a firm mattress and fitted sheets

If htey can roll back and forth no problem, I think its fine. I let Andrew sleep on his tummy once he could do that.

thanks! I'm feeling better (but still tired from constantly checking on her last night). My Dr. just called me back and said the same thing as you ladies.

I freaked out the first time too and quickly rolled him back over but he rolled back on his tummy. My ped said once he can roll back and forth he's a "free man" and can sleep on his tummy if he likes.

Just make sure to take any toys/ stuffed animals/blankets out of the crib. You may even want to take out the bumper if you have one.

really???? the bumper???? I thought it was there to make sure she wouldn't bang her head on the crib.
As for blankets/toys/animals- clear~!

You could ask the doctor but once baby starts to move around in the crib they could press themseves against the bumper.

My son never slept against the bumper but I took it out just in case. I thought he'd bang his head a lot too but he doesn't. It has happened but not so hard where he starts screaming from it.

Re: is this ok? am I being parinoid?
Ryan does this every night. Now that he can roll he will only sleep on his side or belly almost face down on the mattress (about half way from sie of his face to face down). Once they can roll, there is no stopping them!
ETA: I took the bumpers out the other night as he was falling asleep and notcied that he would stick his arms and legs through the rails so back the bumpers went.

what to do, what to do! I think I might try to take the bumpers out. She moves around a lot and squishes herself in the corners. Last night she slept on her belly again. I think this is her new position and there is no stopping her!
