Re: Outerbanks
We went to Emerald Isle a few times, and last time we went to Kitty Hawk..There is alot to do in Kitty Hawk. It is very close to Duck(which has a nice village, but there is so much to do in that area). The houses are really nice, if you are going with friends or family, and can swing a house with over 6 bedrooms..Plenty to do just in the house.

Re: Outerbanks
my parents have a house down there that they rent out, so i'm really familiar with the area. In general, the whole area is pretty laid back, not a ton to do. just an aawesome place to relax on the beach for a week. BUT, if you're want a little more "Action", i would definitely look in Nags Head, Duck, Kitty Hawk. they have a lot of restaurants, shopping, the Wright Brothers First Flight memorial is cool to see... My parents house is on Cape Hatteras. Its a national seashore, so a lot of it is preserved, and theres not quite as much goig on. Although, there are still restaurants, mini golf, places to rent jet skis and stuff like that, mini golf... the cape hatteras light house is on cape hatteras, and thats kind of a "must see" when you're down there Let me know if you have any other questions about the area! like i said, its an awesome place to just hang out for a week!

Re: Outerbanks
We go quite often and always have a great time. We have stayed in Nags Head and Corolla (specifically in the Currituck Club, a gated community but not on the water - a 5 minute drive at most). We always rent from Village Realty and never had any problems with their service. (www.villagerealtyobx.com)
Enjoy.
