TMI question
So, I'm supposed to ovulate at the end of the week and planned on doing lots of this week, but low and behold I think I have a yeast infection....prone to getting them but was on a good streak for awhile....haven't taken any thing for it and am trying to avoid it since if we are trying to conceive I don't want medications interfering! Would you still ? Don't wanna miss my chance this month. We haven't since my period so I know this isn't from doing it too frequently! Grrrrrrrr is alls I can say!

Re: TMI question
hmmmmmmm- thats a toughie- i'd say call your OB and ask if its ok to have sex with a yeast infection..... ask her about meds for it while TTC- my friend used to take acidophilus on a daily basis, it regulates the bacteria in your body (since you're prone to them) therfore getting less yeast infections

Re: TMI question
Call your doctor - maybe there is something topical you can use as opposed to an antibiotic that you have to ingest. I don't think you're supposed to with a yeast infection because you can pass the infection to your DH.

Re: TMI question
Do NOT BD. If you have a yeast infection you are contagious and can give it to DH. Yes it happens.

Re: TMI question
ok.. this is seriously TMI but it works!!
Get the plain (no sugar, what so ever) unflavored, plain, plain, whole milk yogurt and smother and wash down there. Yogurt is the worst enemy for yeast, and it works like a charm.
If you get a large tub, use 1/2 to wash down there twice and eat the other half. You will ok within 12 to 24 hours for mild to moderate yeast.
ETA and DISCLAIMER: this isn't medical advice.. I don't want anyone to go bonkers over it.. just a suggestion to get relief!

Re: TMI question
call your dr and ask.. don't mess with the possibility of giving it to your DH or taking medical advice from anyone else

i disagree with you. yes, it is possible. but not a common occurrance. risk vs benefits..

i worked in an ob/gyn for quite a few years and i know our office would recommend not to... it is contagious and you could wind up giving it back and forth to one another - thus delaying your chance to BD/conceive another month. it's definitely risks vs benefits and a decision that you and dh have to make... but i'd say skip it.

Re: TMI question
If you are going to O at the end of the week, it's possible it will be gone by then right?! I'm not sure how long they usually last. Hopefully you will still get a chance to BD though!

way more common than you think. It has happened to me and about 5 other people I know. I did not even feel like I had the yeast infection.
DO NOT It will make it worse and Im not sure if it would go away on its on. I have had 2 UTIs and I had to skip one month cause it was during prime week. Things happend but your health and the heath of you rDH is more important
