A suggestion for those who dont get EWCM
This is about my 4mth TTC and Ive NEVER had visible EWCM. Nada.. So, this cycle I tried something different. I purchased Robitussin pills..well, they werent Robitussin brand..I got them at the dollar store but they had the main ingredient guaifenesin in it and actually were 400mg vs 100mg in the liquid med. I took these pills 3 times a day 5 days prior to O. I also started Evening Primerose Oil which is suppose to increase CM. Anyway, I have to say this month I had major EWCM. I was so happy lol. I dont know if it was a combination of both pills or one or the other but it worked. Just thought I'd share

good tip.... but question if I dont know when I O (i use OPK's but my cycle is so out of wack i have no idea when I O)
when should I start taking the robitussum pills?

I just bought those the other day!!! The only thing I really noticed was that I coughed a lot after taking it but no EWCM yet. But I only tried it once so far.

Hmm, Im honestly not sure. How many months have you been TTC? If it were me I would just take the average CD of when I get my positive OPK and start them a few days prior to that. Hope that helps!

Really? It actually made you cough more when its actually suppose to stop coughing thats interesting. Are you close to your O day? When I first started them about 6 or so days prior to O I didnt notice a thing. It wasnt until Thurs night which is also the night I got a smiley and on Friday that I noticed a good amount of EWCM. So, if you are not close to your O day yet you may not notice it. I guess we are all different too. Maybe it might take you a month or so before they start taking effect.

Haha yeah. It was loosening up the mucus i must have had in my chest and I kept coughing it up!

My dr. said to take it as soon as you get a + OPK. He said it's only effective for about 6 hours anyway, so he taking it days in advance is no different than taking it the day of. HTH!

Really? I have heard that you should take it a few hours before  . However, I only noticed EWCM right before I got my positive OPK but Ive been taking it 5 days prior to that 3x a day and noticed no CM only up until my positive OPK and the day after.
