This is new to me, but I've been here before . . .
We're officially TTCing since last month
I got AF 12/24. This was my first PP AF. (I was a surrogate for SIL)
28 days would be 1/21. I took HPT (2 different ones) and both were neg.
Here I am now on day 35 and no AF. No signs. Nothing.
How long do I wait to call OB?
I am 36 yrs old and dont want to wait too long to see if there are any issues/concerns. When we were TTCing to have DS (who turns 4 in May) I did nothing- no charting, no temping, not even seeing when I O'd. We just went with it and got PG the first month after stopping BCP.
I'm trying to stay positive, but it's hard.

ALWAYS call if you are uncertain. Better to be safe than sorry.
I hope that the HPT is just giving you a false negative

Right there with you. I will tell you it seems those few years of age makes a difference. I'll bet they'll tell you to wait it out a few cycles since you recently gave birth.

If you feel in your gut that this is not how your body reacts, I would just make an appt. Sending you tons and tons of

Cycles can get really screwy right after giving birth. I don't think 35 days is a crazy long amount of time. Also, are you sure you had you period, or was it still PP bleeding?

Thank you all for the responses, I really do appreciate it. I called my OB and made an appt for 2/16, so I have time to still get AF or not. If I do get it, I will cancel the appt.

The PP bleeding had stopped for some time- long enough for this to have been AF. (12/24 was 12wks 2days PP)

i dont know how cycles are after giving birth..i would think they could get a bit screwy but if u were always regular then i would call the doc..
i mean 35 days is not that long but again why wait..i would at least call doc and see what he says

It makes sense that a cycle or 2 PP would be screwy. I think what you did for your SIL is amazing! I hope you are blessed with a BFP very soon
