Silly Question??
I started seeing Dr. San Roman at RS of NY in Stony Brook this week. I didn't ask him about this, but I figure you guys probably know how this works...If/When I get pregnant, do I stay with Dr. San Roman through the whole thing? Or do I go back to my OBGYN?

Re: Silly Question??
Not a silly question! To answer you though, no you are usually released after you see the heartbeat. I am sure it depends on the re and case but i was released at 8 weeks, once we saw a heartbeat. Good Luck!

What Jenn said. I totally didn't want to leave when I got pregnant. I was trying to bribe my RE to take me as an OB patient. He said it's their job to get us pregnant and the OB's job to take care of us during the pregnancy. He always says the OB's get off easy and they get to take all the credit .
I wound up miscarrying and had to come back to the RE. He said you really don't want to leave me. I said I swear when I do get pregnant and they finally force me to leave this time, they may have to pry my hands off the door.

Re: Silly Question??
I go to RSofNY in Mineloa and when I had DD, I was released at 8wks. I would assume it would be the same this time around. It is very scary to be released and to not have weekly sono's, but like the PP's said, the RE's job is just to get us pregnant.
