TSH level

Anyone else have TSH levels that might be of concerns to their RE? If so, do you take any meds?

Re: TSH level

I've been on thyroid meds for years, unrelated to IF issues. My TSH at this point is normal and should not impact TTC. If your numbers are off though, it could lead to IF. I'm happy to answer any questions you have about the meds if you want to share.

Re: TSH level

Thank you. Throughout the past year of IF, I have tested in the normal range, but towards the low end. My past blood test was not in the normal range and my doc is sending me for additional testing. Just wondering what medication you take and it is for hypo or hyper? I do not have any of the symptoms so I just found this strange. Thanks!!

I don't know what my levels were but yes I had to be put on Synthroid. I've been on it about 3 years now and my levels are OK.

Re: TSH level

I have Hashimotos Disease and I've been on some form of Synthroid for years. I would consult with a regular endocrinologist before getting started with meds only b/c I'm not sure how easy it is to start and stop them. I think it's usually a lifelong kind of treatment because it takes over for your thyroid. If you need to take them, the meds aren't terrible at all. It's if you're on the wrong dosage (over or undermedicated) that can make you feel yucky. Good luck!
