TSH level

What is TSH level your RE is comfortable with? And what is the max he/she would allow without synthroid? Thanks

I think for good fertility it should be under 2 (with ideal at 1.5) but I think the norm is 2.5 for most REs

not sure what my RE considers good - but ive been seeing a regular endocrinologist and she recommends under 2 for TTC

My reg. Dr said under 5, but my RE likes it under 2.

I agree with everyone else 2 or below for TTC.

A friend who's dealt with hypothyroidism all her life told me that it used to be under 4 was normal but in recent years doctors have discovered that it should be lower. So there are two schools of thought out there. But, most RE's want 2 or under.
