crock pot whole chicken

finally tried it today! can't wait to see how it turns out! hopefully i can go home for lunch and check out the progress and smell!!!!

I just tried it on Saturday! The chicken was so moist. However, when I went to lift it out of the pot, the whole thing fell apart. I had to take the legs, wings and breast out in individual pieces. Which also meant that the inside of the chicken fell apart into my gravy, so it had to be strained.

But it was delish!

Recipe please

I stuffed the cavity with a quartered lemon, a few cloves or garlic, sprigs of fresh thyme and sage. I quartered an onion and thew it around the chicken. Then i sprinkled the chicken with garlic powder, black pepper, dried thyme & paprika! put the crock pot on low for the whole day!

at lunch there was lots of juice in the bottom, so i will make gravy with the drippings!!! I will update tomorrow with how it was and if i would change anything!!!

it came out so flavorful and sooooo moist. We just had to be on the lookout for small bones! It was hit... and the skin somehow got a little crispy too!

Wait, so you didn't add any liquid? Just the seasoned chicken in the pot, put on low for 8 ish hours??? Sounds SO easy! Am I missing something?
