BD how often?

I have been off the pill for 8 months and I am still not on a schedule. AF has no rhyme or reason. I was using OPKs and DH didnt like how scheduled BD was he felt forced. Realistically, we cant BD every other day. Is 2x a week enough to get pregnant?

it only takes once. However, BD more often around O will increase your chances. Then again, as my cycle got really long we assumed I wasn't ovulating and went back to BD 1-2x a week and somehow got a BFP, with the magic BD day 2-4 days before O. You never know...

The thing is because my period is so off I dont know when I am ovulating.

For the last 8 months I have been driving myself crazy with all the timed BDing, every other day then 4 days in a row etc. I just had my first RE appointment last week and he told me that once or twice during the week of O is enough, anything more than that isn't helping. So I say it's absolutely enough.

as someone who does not even ovulate and if i do with the meds i have no idea when dh and i just bd every other day or as much as we can....

if thats hard on a schedule for u i would have to rely on the opks..dont have to tell dh u r using them..cause 2x a week is fine but if its not ur fertile time its not going to matter..kwim?

I've heard that BDing twice a week should cover your bases!

And just fyi....I've always had crazy irregular cycles, too. When I got pg with my DS, the sonogram and due date calculate that I conceived on a Friday or Saturday. Hmmmm...well, we BD'd the Tuesday before and the Monday after so....go figure!
