Symptom of Ovulation?

TMI alert.

Can itching and burning be a sign of ovulation? I swore I was coming down with a UTI or some kind of infection but then it just stopped. The feelings down there coincided with my ovulation pains. When my O pains subsided (after a few days) so did the itching and burning. My area felt a little swollen during that time and now it is back to normal.

I googled and found forums where other women had the same thing around ovulation. Some were talking about horomonal issues others said they always had the symptoms.

I have a doctors appointment this week and I will ask about it. I am also going to ask her about the ovulations pains I feel. I think I feel the build up before the egg is released. I am in pain for 3-4 days starting at 10 days from my last period. It lasts until 13-14 days. The itching/burning was during that week. I think it is related somehow?

Any ideas?

I couldn't tell you as I've never heard of those symptoms. Def ask your doctor though. If it's hormone related, it may be worth looking into. GL!

I have never had this but have heard of some women whose discharge can cause irritation. Do you think maybe that could be the cause? Definitely ask your doc though.

you could have a UTI from around ovulation. then if you stop after O, the UTI dissipates on its own. thats happened to me before.

I will talk to the doctor about it and ask her to test for a UTI just in case. It is very strange. It's almost like the time before my period is becoming more uncomfortable than my actual period and I'm not sure if that is a cause for concern.

It has not happened with me, ask your doc...everyone is different.
