Are hpt's valid twenty minutes after taking test?

just curious, because a see a VERY VERY faint line there now. I doubt its a positive..because i saw it about 20 minutes after i took the test. And its VERY faint.

I just wanted to test one las time before i ordered my pregnancy tests and OPK's for next month.

I don' really don't know my cyles yet because this is only my 3rd month off of bcp.

you'd have to read the package for that particular type of test to see how long its valid for...

I read somewhere on LIF that a poster went and checked the garbage 15 mins after tossing it for a negative and saw a faint line and turned out to be BFP.. I can't think of who it was.. but read the instructions.. Good luck!!!

thanks. After looking at it again, i doubt its a positive. It's more of a half positive second line...the bottom part has the line but the top part does not.

At this point, i'll just test again tomorrow with fmu, if i don't get af before then!

It was an EPT test, the negative line came up really fast..so i just tossed it aside and ran out for a walk with DS and then when i looked at it again i saw that second line, turning it into a half positive. The test has a ten minute limit.

I have found that EPTs often show an evaporation line after more than the 10 minutes passes. In my experience the initial result was the accurate one.

I looked at my test 2 hours later and it was positive! Like another poster said the neg came up so quickly that I just tossed it. But I left it on the counter and two hours later came in to find a second line. It was pink (not gray) so I had a feeling it was not an evaporation line. Sure enough I was pregnant.. Good Luck!

eptsare blue right? i usually get a false pos evap lines on those...but it doesnt mean you are out....but i would try a frer with fmu gl!

thanks everyone..i wish i didn't get this stupid line...just more annoying than anything else and its just giving me what is probably some false hope..And if does turn out to be positive i'm one of those people who is getting a very late bfp.

i tested at 3:30 in the morning and it was negative - no evaporation lines..no half line.

I wish i never got that stupid line.
