Currently we have: Horseradish, Figs, Raspberries, Basil, Tomatoes

In the past we had: grapes, pears, apples, cucumbers and more.

Last year we planted a small garden of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and eggplant. I had really good luck with all except the eggplant. I plan to expand my garden this year, and just plant more of each of those items. I'm also contemplating trying strawberries, though I've heard so many people say they don't have luck with them.

I also have an Aerogarden in my kitchen-- sometimes I use it to grow herbs, sometimes lettuce. It's unbelievable how well stuff grows in this thing!!!

BaysideForever, I never heard of growing horseradish or figs around here! I would LOVE to do that!!!!

I planted tomatoes in a pot this summer. I only grew 1 tomato though. I swear I have a black thumb. I'm going to try again this summer I have no gardening experience but I'm not giving up. I did grow alot of basil though (someone told me it was fool proof )
I was wondering about the aerogarden, I think I'm going to invest in it thanks.

I don't (unless you count my basil plant ) but my MIL has a huge one where I do a lot of my produce shopping .

She's got tomatoes, zucchini, squash, garlic, cucumbers, fig trees, kale, and a bunch of other stuff. The woman has a gift!

I don't have an outside area at my apartment, so we have an aerogarden. I need to replant. I'll do it this coming weekend. Planning to do basil, sage, parsley, maybe arugula.

Hi, everyone!!! We use to have two dwarf peach trees, two pear trees (only one now), an apple tree, and two nectarine trees. Over the yrs. they all stopped producing, so we're down to one pear, but I think it will get the ax soon too. This past HOT summer did not give us any tomatoes, except for diseased ones. When you plant strawberries, you're suppose to leave them unpicked the first yr., and they're suppose to produce the second year, according to DH. Mary

Last summer she had - tomatoes, red-tip leaf lettuce, basil, parsley, cucumbers, string beans, & eggplant.

When my grandfather was alive - there was alot more put down every year. He loved gardening and was great at it...me not so much

Yes, both grow quite well. The fig tree takes a lot of work but it ends up producing a lot and the horseradish is easy and great!!

Yeah, fig trees are great. We actually gave our tree to our MIL since it was making a mess and our dog kept eating all of them . She has quite a few trees and the amount of figs we get is insane! We always end up making fig jam and lots of dried figs at the end of the season.

Yup...every week

I never buy any of the above mentioned in the summer months.

I would love to learn how to garden...I have just never spent the time to learn. I think I'll help out this year

We started one last summer. We had tomatoes, peppers, jalepenos, strawberries, pumpkins, and corn. We plan on expanding this year but we not sure yet what else we will plant.
