Probably not what your looking for since my home is in the Gulf Coast of Florida but here is what Dh and I have done over the past month all by ourselves with help from numerous trips to Lowes and I'm pretty proud so I figured I would share:)

Pond in the backyard 
Small Garden we built outside of our soon to be son's room
Naturally not everything is blooming yet and we bought plants, shrubs and flowers that were on the small side so they could grow with us and not break the bank.

Hi Laurie, did you live here on long island and move to Florida? I am really considering moving in the next 10 yrs there, sell our homes here and move there. Im just afraid to move away from my family.

Lauri love the garden. We are on the west coast and have been looking at pics to get ideas for our garden. I have no idea what I want to do. Our builder gives us 2 palms, 2 oaks and 12 shrubs so I am working around that.
