N E 1 ever have a hysteropingogram??
I'm going for one this afternoon and I just read something on line and NOW I'm freaking out!!

I had one and it was nothing. I think the anziety leading up to it was worse than the actual procedure. Some people do have pain though. Luckily I didn't. If you are concerned take an advil or something beforehand. Good luck! Also, the month I had the HSG is the month I conceived DS so hoepfully you have the same experience.

It is definitely different for everyone. The worst part was when the dye was pushed through the tubes, think of it as painful AF cramps. The good news is that pain only lasts a couple of seconds. Good luck!
P.S. _ I highly recommend bringing a light pad or pantyliner (unless you want to wear the huge ones the doc gives). The dye trickles out and it can be messy.

I had it and for me it was painful , I also had a tube blocked , the woman who went before felt nothing , im sure you will be fime , I agree with the pad thing and when you get home rest ... good luck

I too had bad AF cramps when they were injecting the dye, but as OP said, it only lasts a few seconds. Good Luck!

Okay I got all worked up for NOTHING!! It wasn't painful at all. What was a little wacky was how they walked out of the room after the injection and left me there with all that stuff stuck down there. I've got some mild cramping, but I'm just taking it easy tonight.
On a bright note...he said that my uterus looked good and my tubes were open!!!!
Hopefully now we will get a BFP like so many of the other girls!!

I had a pretty bad experience with mine a couple of weeks ago because one of my tubes was blocked. The good news is that the HSG opened it.
