ok i just found this hilarious...
I'm entering updated...  into FF just now, and the little "info tidbit" that pops up is:
"Ovulation pain, also known as mittelschmertz, which means "middle pain" refers to a slight pain that you may feel near your abdomen or ovary at the time of ovulation."
Sorry, but I think we need to refer to O pains as "mittleschmertz" from now on.

Because ovulation doesn't roll off the tongue as easily as mittleschmertz.
That's got to be a yiddish word btw. I think it's just easier to say "O vey".
