hi. i'm new here...
i've been lurking for a while and first want to sprinkle some  for everyone!
i read more than i post and i am learning bit by bit... also used to work in an ob/gyn for quite some time so i had some basic knowledge, but that was a while back. you ladies really seem to know your stuff!!
thing is, i work a crazy schedule... and so does dh. opposite shifts. so getting in tune for this baby makin thing has NOT been easy. there are times i don't see him for 5 days at a time... and i'm learning how crucial those days can be.
we JUST started trying... i mean, i literally just stopped taking the pill the 1st week of december - so i have no clue what my cycles are like, if we will have trouble making this happen or if it will come naturally. i've been on the pill for... 14 years or so. i remember my cycles being regular prior, but that was so long ago.
dh and i have stressful jobs and i definitely don't want to add more stress on his shoulders, if i don't have to, when it comes to TTC. i know i have to be patient, wait it out and give it time to see what my cycles are even like. but the weeks feel like an eternity... does anyone else feel like this? i think about it allllll the time... worry that we aren't getting to  enough. i know it only takes once, but when we don't see each other for so long... 
we had some on the 23rd & 25th, with the 14th being day #1 of my cycle. i hope to get another BD in tomorrow or the 31st. i know it's probably too soon, being off the pill, to hope it could happen this quickly. but i can't help it. it'd be such a great way to start the new year. with a christmas baby 
anyway, thanks for listening to my story and if anyone has advice, i welcome it with open arms.
also, are there other signs that you might be O'ing other than EWCM and cramping? (i don't mean OPK, temps and all that - not looking to go that route quite yet... just looking to get more in tune with my own body).

Welcome!! Have fun TTC! You're pretty on point with the cues that your body gives to tell you that you're Oing. There are sites like mymonthlycycles.com or fertilityfriend.com that can help pinpoint your O date based on past cycles but it's all estimates and just coming off BCP it may be hard to tell. The only way to kow you O'd for sure is to temp...

Welcome! DH and I have difficult schedules also and there are days I don't see him, so I feel your pain. All I can say is just do the best you can. I know how tough it is having high stress jobs.
