the show "I didn't know I was pregnant
Yesterday I was home from work and they had a marathon of this show on so I watched all day..lol All I can say is WOW! I was so surprised that so many women had no idea they were pregnant until they were in labor. I wonder if it's all entirely true.
It def gave me so hope when these girls would take HPTs and they came up negative, but yet they were pregnant. I didn't get that part...
If you saw the show..what do you think about it?

I know its possible but... I think it's also exaggerated/fictionalized a bit.
These women obviously pay NO attention to their bodies...

Re: the show "I didn't know I was pregnant
My SIL didn't know she was pregnant for 2 months because she was still getting her period. I assume it was really light bleeding though.

I can't believe how many women have been on that show! It is so odd to me that you could really have no idea. I can understand maybe one or two of these stories but the rest seem

Re: the show "I didn't know I was pregnant
it is possible to get a negative on a hpt and actually be pregnant. i know for a fact that does and can happen.
it also happened to some girls on here...
usually those people need a blood test to confirm... but they don't think they need one because they got a negative on the test... so they don't really think they are pregnant.
If the girl is trying and is aware of when AF should arrive and if AF hasn't arrived and they got bfn, they then usually see a dr. Other's don't pay any attention to it.
I did see some episodes where they missed periods for reasons, like they thought they were going through menopause, they stopped taking the pill, they normally skipped periods, etc.
also, you sometimes have girls who take the pill and get pregnant while on the pill... so they might even still continue to get their periods because they are still taking the pill.
i do think some of it could be over indulged, but it really is possible.
I'm kind of annoyed I missed the marathon, I was home yesterday and DH was sleeping then plowing snow... when he's home he hates that show.. it freaks him out. haha!

lol.. yeah, my SO came in the living at 7:00 and he said you're still watching this show?
My coworker's daughter was pregnant for 5 months and didn't know it. Her HPTs were negative. She went to the doctor for something else and that's when she found out she was pregnant.

Re: the show "I didn't know I was pregnant
If those stories are 100% true than I am jealous because early pregnancy for me was a horror.
I did have cramping around implantation time and even after I got a positive test result. Those cramps were worse than my AF cramps so if I had more spotting than I guess I could have mistaken it for a period. From weeks 6-9 there was no mistaking I was pregnant. I had a lot of symptoms ranging from pure exhaustion, vomitting, food aversions, food cravings, dizzy spells, bloating/small bump. Like I said, no mistaking it.
I know how "not good" I'm going to feel next time I am pregnant. To be honest I'm scared about TTC again because the beginning was rough In a way I am glad I have a few months off to feel normal again before we try again.
It's amazing how some women have no symptoms at all though. Part of me thinks a lot of them are just in denial but who knows. Anything is possible.

Re: the show "I didn't know I was pregnant
I remember seeing the show and most of the people on it had irregular periods so it didn't seem abnormal to miss a few months. It freaks me out though because I used to miss 3-6+ months at a time!

Re: the show "I didn't know I was pregnant
i've seen that show many times! even though i cant understand how it happens i guess it obviously does....what really has me shocked is when they show pics of the women during their pregnancy and you really cant tell that they are!
i saw one where the girl was in a bikini 2 weeks before and gave birth to a full term baby...she had almost no stomach at all!

Re: the show "I didn't know I was pregnant
My SIL is a nurse and she was working the ER one and night a couple came in complaining of abdominal pain, the doctor kept asking if she was pregnant and she kept saying no. Now my SIL is like a size 4, tiny thing, and she said this girl was about the size she was if not smaller and has the smallest little pooch for a belly. The doctor noticed the linea nigra and asked again and she said no. She said that the guy came running out of the room and said she wet the bed and she was fully dilated. She gave birth to a healthy 6 1/2 lb. baby girl. SIL couldn't believe it, this was in June. She said she was so small and the baby was full term. She said she had her period and felt nothing the entire time.
