Intoduction and ?
I have been lurking here for a while and am totally overwhelmed by the amount of support and information.
We were married in October and officially TTC. Here's the catch, the 2 years leading up to our wedding, we were not officially TTC, but we were not trying to prevent. And nothing. I have a regular 28 day cycle, I planned my wedding around it. Given that we were not actively TTC does the past 2 yrs count. I am 38, DH is 41, time is not on our side. When do I decide to take the next step and see a Dr?

welcome!!! as far as the dr. goes, in my opinion, you can go as soon as you would like. in my experience most are very willing to see you and work with what you are comfortable with, even if that just means talking about your concerns to get the ball rolling.

If you have a concern, then I wouldn't waste any time and go to a specialist.
If you want to give it a few months of hardcore trying too.. that's fine too.
It's really what you are comfortable with.
I will say though... again.. if you are concerned for any reason, then don't waste any time.

I agree. I am your age and it took me a 1 1/2 to go see a specialist. I really should have gone sooner; even though we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. At least you get all the testing done and see what is going on with your body (if anything). It is better than wondering.

I would also say that if you're concerned to go to the doc. I also recommend to start temping. It's the best thing I've done because I'm really understanding now what's going on with my body and I'm only in my 1st month of temping. It's reassuring to know if I'm ovulating and when. Every time I thought I was, I actually wasn't. I would've wasted so many HPT by now. It'll probably be something your doctor would like to see too.

I would absolutely see someone. It's very easy for your DH to get a sperm analysis and for you both to have some basic bloodwork done.

I would go to the Dr right away and have a work up done for both you and DH. Also I would purchase the Clear blue digital OPK and test with those. It will tell you when you are about to ovulate and help you narrow down the days to BD with your DH. Best of luck!!

I learned the hard way that you should go to the doctor as soon as you want/think there could even be a slight issue.
It never hurts to go ask questions and get checked out!

I'd get in there right away... even if you haven't been actively trying -- I would tell the Dr. that you have been just in case they want to give you a hard time.
Better to know sooner than later if there ARE any issues you will need to deal with. But I hope you guys are both in the clear! The fact that you know your cycles so well can only be of help to you!!
