OPK Help!
So my AF was cruel and had an odd sense of humor and finally came on xmas morning! I am happy at least she finally came since it was 36 day cycle...
This is my 4th month off bcp and my cycles haven't been predictable (i.e. 1st cycle was 28 days...2nd cycle was 30 days..and last cycle was 36 days!). Last cycle had ewcm both on cd 13 and also again on cd22ish but smaller portion.
I bought myself OPKs for xmas for the first month so I can have help figuring out when I ovulate...
For those with irregular cycles like mine..when do you start testing with OPKs? I am assuming I can wait til cd10ish?
I would really appreciate your help!

Re: OPK Help!
The first month I used them I followed the instuctions inside the OPK and used their online calculator. It had me start REALLY early and I didn't O until much later. This month I decided to start a little later and never got my smiley. I would follow the instructions at least for a few months until you get an idea when you O.

Re: OPK Help!
When I first went off BC, my cycles were irregular and long... I started using the OPKs on like CD12, but it really took me 2 months or so in really figuring out how and when to test, before I got it down.
What I did, and am doing this time around as well-- is using the cheapie dip OPKs and the digital ones to confirm a positive. I test 2x a day starting at CD 10 (my cycles are shorter and more regular since my first DC). Once I get the positive, I take the digital and keep taking both until they are negative. It helps to figure out your cycle when they are long and irregular and give you an idea of when you O.
