basal temp-low all the time?

my temp is always 96-97.whatever it can't drop anymore can it?

I have tried it in all different places in my mouth to make sure it was all the same, it was always extremly close or the same. I do it in the same spot everyday at the same time when I am recording it

is this normal?

It shouldnt. If it stays around that number its fine. I think thats pretty normal...Ive read that between 97.8 and 98.2 is normal but everyone is different.

Not always. Not usually.

Do you think yours sounds low because it's not 98.6? Your basal temp should be much lower than that. This cycle, mine was between 97.3 and 97.7 before I O'ed. It hovered around 98.2 after I O'ed.

I think "normal" is 96's and 97's before O and 97's and 98's after O.

No, its actually suppose to go up once you ovulate. You may have a sudden drop right before O but once you O temps go up and stay up until the start of your next cycle.

wait im confused, are you saying you temp ALWAYS stays low and never rises?? Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon cause if thats the case then you may not be ovulating. how long have you been temping?
your temp should stay low prior to ovulation. after ovulation it would go up and stay higher. it doesnt really matter what your average low and average high are, it only matters that you see a definite sustained temp rise to confirm ovulation.

Re: basal temp-low all the time?

pre ovulation I ranged from 97.0 to 97.6, post ovulation I ranged from 97.8 to 98.5 and then got a BFP. Hope that helps! Good Luck! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
