all i want for christmas
is 2 lines on a pee stick...5 days to go to HPT and the 2WW is KILLING me (1st IUI/clomid cycle this month and trying not to indulge any false hope)
anyway, is anyone else having anxiety about seeing the whole family, having your wine glass monitored by baby hawks? fielding nosy questions/comments about grandkids or nieces/nephews? i'm due to test 12/22, so one way or the other, it's gonna be a little scary to face the whole family!
what's your strategy?

well, I just got a BFP today. however, we were planning on telling our families at christmas as long as we got BFP and had blood test to confirm. At this point, I want to announce it to anyone and everyone I know and see on the street, so It would be hard for me to not say anything. BUt, unless you can confirm with a blood test, IDK how i would feel about saying anything. But, these would be the people who i would tell if god forbid anything went wrong. god forbid.

We will not know on Christmas but so many people in our family have asked us--especially lately. We just said we are going to try very soon.
DH said to me the other day when a bunch of family/friends asked us at a party--"what if we WERE having trouble!".
I think *most* people are asking from a place of excitement for us to have children so I do not get offended.
BUT if we end up having trouble getting pregnant I would probably change my tune about that!

if i really do get my christmas wish and i am pregnant when the whole family is around, it's going to take every ounce of self-control in my body not to announce! i won't see those a lot of those people face-to-face until at least easter.
on the other hand, at best i would have the 2nd hcg test to confirm increase in hormones, which i've had before and miscarried shortly later.
it would be too scary to say anything. i just know they'll all be paying attention.
