I guess I will start with one and see how we like it 
Probably two. I think we might consider a 3rd but that would depend on a number of factors mostly finances.

I voted for 4 but I would love 5 or 6. All my friends that are Moms always  @ me when I say that. I get the, "just wait till you have 1." responce. In general I don't blame them for reacting to me that way, I understand you never really know how challenging / rewarding something is until you experience it. Sometimes though, it does bother me b/c I lost my only sibling a few years ago and growing up I always wished I had a big family. It just sucks that the economy of LI is going to determine how many children DH & I bring into the world.

i "want" 3, BUT since kids are expensive and so is day care and I will be a working mom, we are planning to have 2.

I voted 3..but I can see myself stopping at 2 if things are too hectic.
If I have twins though (which runs in family) I will more than likely definetely have 3 as I at least want 2 pregnancies and newborn stages :)
I can see myself being obsessed with the baby stage and wanting 3 kids hehe! But we shall see..anything can happen!

I'd love 3! We'll see what happens. We're in a reverse situation where it may make more sense for DH to be a "stay at home" and run a small business from home...he's still sorting out how he feels about that. We'll see how things work out.
