Call me naive but can someone answer my qusestion
If you have periods/ovulate regularly and are seriously "trying" how come it happens much quicker for some and not others? Can some women be more fertile than others? I know timing plays a huge part I would love to see what goes on in my body during this crucial time

I have no clue! I have read that there is only a 15 to 25% chance every month if everything is timed right. 15% is if you are over 30 I believe and that is really not a high percentage which is why it can take a while for some. Good luck!

Aside from being regular and getting the timing right, there are a lot of factors that contribute to fertility. Semen, hormonal, uteran lining, fallopian tubes (blocked/open), immunological, the list goes on and on. I thought because I was somewhat regular and all of the women in my family are Fertile Myrtles, I would have no problem. But now 2 years later, we are still TTC. I don't mean to frighten you with all of this info, but just wanted to let you know that there are reasons and you are not alone. If you think there might be something wrong, then it would be a good idea to get checked out.

I've read online that a "normal" couple has only a 20% chance each month to get pregnant...so i can see if the timing isnt right why it would take longer.
there are sooo many reasons why it takes some people longer to conceive. Most of the times women do not know they have an issue until TTC.

It can take a "healthy" couple anywhere between 1 month to 1 year to conceive . And as a PP said, every couple has a 20% chance per month, so sometimes some people are just lucky and get pregnant right away, while others take a bit longer.

I think some woman are more fertile than others. Or like someone else said...there are a lot of factors that play a part and some people just are luckier than others!
I have heard there is a 15-20% chance of getting pregnant. I also heard it takes people an avg. of 6 months to conceive! GEEZ! I am being patient for now.....3rd cycle.
