need help on losing belly weight...PHYL
I joined WW in May and lost 19 lbs so far - which is great - made goal and now am a lifetime member - yet I am still not happy with my body - everything shrunk except belly - what kind of exercises can I do for that. Most of my weight came off from decreasing portion size and using the treadmill - but does the treadmill do anything for the stomach? I can do 15 crunches but then feel like I am dying - ha ha !
my pants did go down 2 sizes, but belly is still there, can't blame my dd - she is 4 now!!
thanks all !

Re: need help on losing belly weight...
I am in a similar boat
Had 2 babies in 3 years and lost 23 lbs with WW since June
BUT....my belly has gotten more tone and I think it is from PILATES and ZUMBA
I swear these exercises really work my core and side stomach muscles

Re: need help on losing belly weight...
I talked with my WW leader about this subject as I have only midsection and belly fat left. She said stay away from white starches. Potatoes, rice etc. basically it boils down to less carbs too.
I have a great ab work out that doesn't kill until you cough the next day!
Get a med size exercise ball and lay flat on your back. With your arms above your head, ball in your hands over your head and straight legs take the ball and raise up your arms and legs at the same time and transfer the ball to your feet, grabbing it between your ankles. Then lower the legs straight to the floor while simultaniously lowering the arms back above your head. repeat the transfer from feet to hands repeating the position at least 10 times. That's all it takes ! I could only do 6 the first time I did it and I felt it in my abs for a couple days after!
If you need more clarification let me know! It's a great ab workout and as I said after the first time I did it, It kicked my abs!

Are you running on the treadmill? I really feel like it is an effective way to tone the core, so I would keep it up.

If that is the only cardio you are doing, I would keep it up.

That sounds like an awesome ab excercise. Definatly trying it next time at the gym! I've been working on abs alot more recently. Still waiting for results though!
