Have you been able to access your etools? I've been refreshing the page since like 8 am and haven't been able to get in yet. It's sooo frustrating!

Re: Kind of overwhelmed with new WW program

I am allowed to eat 8 more pts per day. I was allowed to 21 pts.

I can tell you right now that that's what I have been doing for the past month. I am tapping in my "old" 35 pts and I am stagnating.

I WILL NOT lose weight at 29 pts. I will lose weight when I got back and get back on track with the old system.

This new system will not make me lose weight.

I had asked for the maitatence book but they never gave me to me. My leader said extra maitenance points are NOT calculated in the 29 I was given and to add 6 more. Does anyone know if this is accurate?

This is true Colleen. People on maintenance are to add 6 PP everyday to their daily PP target.

Thanks Laura!

I just went for a 6 mile run and ended up earning 8 activity points for a 55 minute workout. It seems so high! Chat Icon I probably wont use them anyway though.

Re: Kind of overwhelmed with new WW program

So I am now getting 9 more points than usual, but a few of my regular foods are up in points, so I think it might just balance out that way. However, I put in my daily foods into the E-Tools online and I still have 7 points to use for the day!!! I guess I'll gage my hunger throughout the day and add some higher protein snacks to add on the points.

You're getting more points becuase the point values of food went up.

How do you know you won't lose weight on the new system if you don't even try it?

Re: Kind of overwhelmed with new WW program

For those of you that are concerned about eating more points plus throughout the day, remember that points plus values for most foods are higher.

Also, FYI - some of you have mentioned that you don't plan to switch programs. Now, WW cannot make you follow a particular plan, but just know that neither meetings nor e-tools will be utilizing the momentum program (or any features of it) any longer.

I am allowed 9 more pts but it appears that the food I eat is higher in pts value so it should balance out....i guess

A LOT of the food is higher in points. I brought a Smart Ones for lunch today - on the box is says 5 points - using the new e-tools it calculates it at 8 points Chat Icon Chat Icon - and if I run a search for it, it tells me it's 7 points. I have no clue what to count it as to track.

Not having attended a meeting yet for the explanation of the new program (I go to Saturday meetings) I have yet to form an opinion of the new program - but I can say this . . . a proper weight loss formula that is tried and true is to burn more calories than you consume. The new PointsPlus program doesn't even look at calories, so I fail to see how this is going to be as great a success as the Momentum program.

Re: Kind of overwhelmed with new WW program

calories count but not as much as a fat/carb/fiber/protein ratio. Things with higher carbs and low fiber are not as good as things with higher protein and higher fiber. What gets confusing is when you workout your focusing how many calories burned vs food intake.

That is why atkins works (high protein low carb) the problem is they don't care about fat and yes you can train your body to burn fat but when your levels sky rocket (like mine did) i had to give it up. So i kinda like concept of the new program. I just got to get used to it, my meeting is on Thurs.

I also dislike the fact my scale is wrong now and i will have to buy a new one.

I now have the same amount of points per day as my mother who weighs about 60lbs more than me and is 30 yrs older. How the heck does that work? I can't wait to get to our meeting on Friday and see how this all works.

For those that missed this past Saturday, no worries. I *think* the New program was introduced only yesterday (Sunday) because its considered the beginning of the week.
I have a few friends that go on Saturdays and I had to fill them in because this past Saturday the new program was not introduced yet.

This is correct. The new program was launched yesterday. So every meeting this week (Sunday-Saturday) will be introducing Points Plus.
